Learn how to print your own greeting cards on antique letterpress equipment.
In this Saturday morning workshop, you’ll learn the basics of printing imagery and text on Flycatcher Press’ antique letterpress equipment. You will carve a small image of your choice on a linoleum block to print on the front of your card, and set a line of metal type for the inside. You will print using the studio’s tabletop platen and proof presses. Each participant will print at least 12 greeting cards to take home with them. Paper, envelopes & materials will be supplied. You may bring extra paper with you to print on if time allows. Cards will be paper size A2: 4.25 x 5.5″ folded.
