Goblin:Macbeth

Macbeth like you’ve never seen it!

When three goblins come across a copy of the Complete Works of William Shakespeare, they’re eager to take over a theatre and take a stab at Macbeth. Tarragon Theatre presents Spontaneous Theatre’s Goblin:Macbeth in the Mainspace from Thursday, October 3 – now extended to Sunday, November 3, 2024.

From the company that brought you Blind Date and Undercover, a unique blend of comedy and tragedy, with a spatter of improvisation and audience participation, Goblin:Macbeth is a fresh-blooded take on a Shakespearean classic.

Goblin:Macbeth is a blast of pure creative genius. Unpredictable, unrestrained and uninhibited, it is the stage equivalent of a theme park funhouse ride.”

About Spontaneous Theatre

Led by Canadian Comedy Award winner Rebecca Northan, Spontaneous Theatre is an ensemble of some of Canada’s top improv and theatre talent. They specialize in creating daring immersive productions that engage the audience and get them involved in the action – in some cases, featuring an audience member as the star of the show, like in their popular, critically acclaimed Blind Date. Their name describes their genre of theatre, which combines rigorous narrative structure with the thrill of improvisation.
