A blonde woman in a white hoodie looks on in amazement at a mysterious gaunt man in a hat and dark glasses and a ginger cat, appearing on the sides of two buildings, with people in apartment windows. A cat pendant hangs from the clock tower in the background, while a black cat with white paws peers down from the building behind the woman.

COMIC BOOKS LIVE!!! presents: Tales from Phantom City

Hosted by The Assembly Theatre’s co-artistic director and comic fan-boy Luis Fernandes, Tales from Phantom City will be performed by a stellar cast of actors at The Assembly Theatre, with author/illustrator Patrick Jenkins on hand for a book signing after the show. Copies of the book will be available for sale at the event.

About Tales from Phantom City

A magical cat-shaped pendant launches a detective’s dangerous journey through a strange city. A complex and compelling story with artwork to match, author and illustrator Patrick Jenkins combines film noir with magic realism in this exploration of metaphysics in his debut graphic novel.

”Smokey halftones and sumptuous linework are binding elements in a sequence of bizarre twists. A layered vortex of visual delights without linear paths or escape.”
