Chasing The Poem – Third Edition
This April, Massy Arts and Massy Books host the third edition of Chasing The Poem, an online poetry workshop marathon in three courses (of 2 hours each).
Created by Indigenous poets to demystify poetry writing, present useful writing prompts, incite imagination, and address political and poetic points of view through poetic literature, these three experimental courses will mix literary theory and artistic expression. Whether you’re an emerging poet, unpublished author, poetry enthusiast or someone searching for new ways of expressing their creativity, this is a unique opportunity to work with three published poet mentors.
Conducted by Indigenous literary mentors Jónína Kirton, annie ross and Justene Dion-Glowa, the classes will be held online over Zoom. By the end of this writing workshop, attendees will have received feedback about their writing by authors aware of market demands – and poetry’s potential.
