Alumnae Theatre presents: String of Pearls

A fateful thread of magic in the form of a pearl necklace slips from one woman’s hands to another’s. Passing through the hands of several women, the play offers a glimpse into their private lives — inner worlds rich with desire, frustration, resentment, yearning and hope.

Playing at Canada’s oldest women-managed theatre as part of their 2022-2023 season: String of Pearls

Eight actors play 27 characters over the span of 35 years as we follow the pearl necklace’s journey from woman to woman, touching the lives of mothers and daughters, sisters and friends, husbands and wives in this moving, funny drama.

Alumnae Theatre Company presents Michele Lowe’s String of Pearls, from Friday, April 14 to Saturday, April 29 in their Mainstage Theatre space. Directed by Barbara Larose, with Assistant Director Ellen Green. The cast features Shannon Pitre, Andrea Lyons, Natalie Stephenson, Sandy Ramdin, Georgia Findlay, Kim Croscup, Valérie Carrier and Annie Massey.
